The former school is affiliated to the Edmonton Public School System, while the latter is under the administration of the Edmonton Catholic School System.

Mayfield Park, Patrick J. Ryan Park, Otto Leslie Park, and Phoebe Mccullough Park are a few of the urban parks located in the neighborhood. The Mayfield Community League is the body representing the neighborhood. The league was established in 1957 and is responsible for maintaining an outdoor rink and a community hall, both of which are located at 109 Avenue and 161 Street respectively.
