The People and The Real Estate in Calder

The mature community of Calder real estate is located in north-west quadrant of Edmonton. While the 127 street is to the west of the residential community, 132 Avenue is to the north. To the east of Calder real estate is 113A Street while 127 Avenue is to the south. The New Community of Calder

Calder, in early 20th century, was a component of the Hudson's Bay Company Reserve and inhabited by Grand Trunk Pacific Railway’s employees.

The Grand Trunk Pacific Railway was connected to Edmonton in 1909.  Calder real estate gets its name from Hugh Alfred Calder, a farmer, real estate entrepreneur and alderman who first took up subdivision of the area. The community which was originally established as a village in 1910, was absorbed into Edmonton in 1917.
